Confident FCS looking towards "The Quadruple"

The first match and the quarter final of the Xmas Cup is played Sunday. The FCS squad seems confident after an undisputed league challenge so far, and the FCS players are looking to eliminate the biggest competition no later than in the first round.

When the Xmas cup quarter final kicks off on Sunday 8:30 AM CET, last years cup winners and this years league rivals Memories will once again be the opponent waiting on the opposite side of FCS, just like on Sunday two weeks ago when FCS won 4-0.

Underestimation "not an issue"
FCS midfielder Sebastian Dedering is determined that underestimation will not be an issue in the quarter final.

"Memories is a good team, no doubt about that. We only had one goal on them after the first half, and we scored two "easy" goals towards the end which we wouldn't have gotten so easily if the score was still tie. We cannot afford to underestimate them", he assures.

"The Quadruple"
In addition to the Xmas cup and the GIDA league, the quadruple consists of the May Cup and the Super Cup. To compare the importance of the four, the Xmas Cup is considered as "The League Cup" while the May Cup is "The FA Cup". The winner of the league plays against the winner of the May Cup in the Super Cup.

"We want that quadruple very much, so it would be fantastic to win one cup before Christmas", Dedering adds.

The FCS midfielder, also a Financial Director for the club, has been playing both central midfielder and right defender this season. He missed the last match, but against Memories on Sunday he will play on the right side of the midfield.

Key players injured
FCS top scorer Lars Johansson (toe) and key midfielder Sebastian Delsinger (leg) both has a minor injuries, but will still probably be found in the starting lineup. Harpo Lilja is in the squad, and will most certainly get his debut. Emiliano Sener is out with a knee injury, and Andreas Lilja is away due to other commitments. Camilio Braz is away travelling.

PS: Birnapa defeated Kavallieri in an early quarter final on November 1st and will the opponent in the semi final for the either FCS or Memories, on December 14th.
